Order Generation
Our ORION software provides both automated order generation and inventory management support as part of a Customer Service strategy for product deliveries. Based upon the stock levels of each product at the customer, its delivery history and its daily sales (demand), the number of days is calculated until the agreed minimum (critical) stock levels are reached. Using this information, ORION can generate a mixture of ‘must do’ and ‘could do’ orders for each customer with specific date/time delivery windows and then passes this information to SHORTREC to create efficient routes.
The demand forecast upon which the orders are generated can be performed using various algorithms (like weighted average, exponential smoothing, etc.) with different data sources (like sales data, tank telemetry data, manual tank dip data, etc.) as input.
The generated orders can be viewed and updated in a very user-friendly way, allowing the user to have full control over the number of days of stock left of each product at the customer.
