The certified communication system for SAP R/3

Optimal transparency and system integration

In order for information logistics to be efficient, various software systems need to be linked to certain data formats. Compatibility is key: Only if the applications are able to smoothly communicate will they be able to meet the complex demands of efficient logistic concepts.

ORTEC has designed the interface program CONNECT FOR R/3 for standardized data exchange with the goods management system SAP R/3. The SAP certified applications ensures smooth and consistent bidirectional communication between external systems, such as the ORTEC Logiplan optimization process and SAP R/3.

CONNECT FOR R/3

• The communication technology is based on the transactional Remote Function Call (tRFC), which allows the data to be read online from SAP R/3 and sent back
• Preparation and communication of the data as Intermediate Documents – in short IDocs
• Addition of all IDocs from SAP R/3 and transfer to external applications
• Transforming and transferring information from one subsystems into the relevant IDoc-structure for return to SAP R/3
• Monitoring of the complete bidirectional communication using status reports
