Aart van Beuzekom, one of the main shareholders and founders of ORTEC, has been invited by the jury and Entrepreneur of the Year event participants, to become a member of the Entrepreneur of the Year Society and Foundation.
The Entrepreneur of the Year Society is based at Nyenrode University in Breukelen and has the aim of stimulating network development and the exchange of ideas between members. The Society currently has more than one hundred members.
Material assistance
The Entrepreneurs Foundation, an initiative of the Entrepreneur of the Year Society, aims to stimulate prosperity and social welfare ‘in the broadest possible sense’. It does so by providing material assistance to individual entrepreneurs, particularly in areas where basic needs are not sufficiently catered for. This entails offering financial support, making contacts, and giving advice and information.
Entrepreneur of the Year
This year, the Entrepreneur of the Year event was initiated by Ernst & Young for the thirteenth time. The title is intended to put entrepreneurship in the spotlight, and find and reward successful entrepreneurs. Ernst & Young organizes the program in collaboration with Fortis, with support from Nyenrode University, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Netherlands Association of Venture Capital Companies (NVP – Nederlandse Vereniging van Participatiemaatschappijen), the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW), and the newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad.
