OM Partners and ORTEC enter into strategic partnership
Published on September 26, 2007
OM Partners and ORTEC have joined forces to expand the software solutions and consultancy services for process optimization in the Supply Chain. “We complement one another well,” said Noud Gademann, who is responsible for Manufacturing at ORTEC. “OM Partners and ORTEC form a strong unit in every aspect of logistics and manufacturing planning.”
“In recent years, many companies have invested in ERP systems and have subsequently added separate scheduling systems for one or more links in the process chain. There is now an increasing need for further integration of these scheduling processes.”
Focus markets
Noud Gademann: “This partnership enables us to focus even more closely on further integrating our business processes within our focus markets. We initially want to concentrate on bulk manufacturers and the paper and cardboard industry. In this market in particular, further integration of the solutions is important for optimum support of business processes.”
Broad and acknowledged expertise
Luc Schepens, who initiated the partnership at OM Partners, added: “We wanted to expand our service portfolio to include duty rostering, routing and loading optimization. We have known one another for years. Thanks to a number of mutual clients we know that ORTEC has proven solutions that perfectly complement our services. By pooling our resources we will be able to offer our clients a more comprehensive package of Supply Chain solutions coupled with more than 20 years of expertise in our common focus markets. In addition to software, we both supply implementation services, consultancy and training.”
