NPO to register its employees with ORTEC duty roster system
Published on July 11, 2007
As a result of the implementation of the Jaarurennorm (Annual Working Hours Standard) within the framework of the new Collective Labor Agreement for broadcasting staff, NPO required an efficient registration system for its 350 staff.
“We didn’t need to look around,” said Employment Conditions Policy Advisor Simone Ng-A-Tham. “NOS RTV – the other NOS body – was already using ORTEC’s workforce scheduling system, HARMONY. They are so pleased with it that we decided to expand the licensing.”

Annual Working Hours System
NPO did require that the Annual Working Hours System functionality also used by NOS RTV be incorporated into the system. The Annual Working Hours System enables NPO to register the amount of hours worked by staff.
“In accordance with the Annual Working Hours Standard, each member of staff must work 1,880 hours per year. In order to verify these hours, we are obliged to keep a record of them using time registration,” said Simone Ng-A-Tham. “We currently use Excel sheets for these records, but our goal is for all staff to use HARMONY as from January 2008.”
