Advanced Shift Scheduling at Maersk

Maersk Delta and ORTEC signed a contract for the purchase and implementation of HARMONY, ORTEC’s advanced planning software for complex shift scheduling and rostering. Maersk Delta is a new company, operational since August 2000, managing all terminal container handling activities exclusively for Maersk Sealand’s ships in the Port of Rotterdam. Maersk chose HARMONY after ORTEC successfully completed a consulting project introducing optimal cyclic rosters for shift workers at the new terminal.
